Position Summary:We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a File Clerk.In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for efficient and orderly maintenance of department files (Both manual and electronic). Review summaries of filed information and correct errors. Assist in receiving supplies. Responsible for attending customer needs in all areas, which include linen uniforms, receiving and distribution. Attendance and Punctuality is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

  • Manually creates CDs for patients and Physicians (BURNS CD's)

  • Effectively scans necessary documents into our PACS SCAN

  • Communicates effectively and clearly, demonstrates caring and respectful behaviors when interacting with patients and their families. Answers telephone and provide necessary assistance.

  • Consistently communicated pending work and/ or problematic issues directly to supervisor

  • Thoroughly tracks down all films requested and provides effective feedback to person requesting the film(s) when the films(s) cannot be located.

  • Accurately records each examination on patient's folder.

  • Efficiently gathers essential and accurate information about the patients. Pulls prior films to assist Radiologists and/or other Physicians in comparison readings

  • Accurately prepares completed films and radiology exam requisition properly, to be read by Radiologists

  • Effectively sorts and labels films appropriately.

  • Perform special projects as requested.

  • Maintain log of archived items in storage.

  • Maintain file room records including obtaining HIPPA authorization forms prior to releasing film records.

Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.Previous experience in shipping, receiving and distribution strongly preferredGood written and oral communication skillsBasic math skills required ( Simple Sums)
